About This Pattern
The Elizabeth Top is a wide-strap tank top pattern designed as a versatile staple for a doll’s wardrobe. With a gently scooped neckline in both the front and back and a relaxed fit that sits smoothly over waistbands, this top is easy to mix and match with skirts, pants, and layered pieces. The design works well as a standalone top in fun or textured knits and also layers easily with other garments. Intended for knit fabrics, the pattern performs well in rib knits, t-shirt knits, lightweight sweater knits, and stretch lace using the included overlay technique. The Elizabeth Top is a quick sew and a practical, repeat-use pattern for building a mix-and-match wardrobe.

I am loving the Sewing Pattern Subscription and feel that I am so lucky to belong. It is so much fun getting a new pattern each month for a minimal price. Anna gives new inspiration each month, something new and unique to tempt our imaginations to create. She is always challenging me to create a new and beautiful garment. As for me – money well spent!
In March I sewed the Addy Gown. This evening gown is a fun one to use some specialty fabrics with. The pattern is simple and easy to follow, but makes a beautiful garment! Beginner or advanced seamstress will enjoy this pattern.

I’m having a ton of fun with this subscription. I love the inspirational surprise that arrives once a month in my email. Anna’s patterns are always well drafted with detailed instructions. As a relatively experienced maker I have complete appreciation for their perfect blend of simple to make, fashionable and very adaptable to your own styling.

I’ve been sewing American Girl doll clothes for so long, my original recipients have long since aged out of the dolly stage. Thank goodness for plenty of friends with young grand (and now great-) grandchildren. And thank goodness for the new monthly Doll It Up Sewalong. Over time, you just flat run out of inspiration, but Anna Allen just keeps the ideas rolling into your e-mail inbox every month like clockwork, and they are all adorable. Her patterns are easy to assemble. Her instructions are clear and accurate, and the fit is always perfect. I’ve been following her patterns since her original Doll It Up soft cover book, and the outfits I’ve made have never failed to measure up to the demanding standards of modern little boys and girls. They can’t wait to get their hands on these clothes, and that’s the highest praise anybody can give your efforts.
